Yawei Chen, Dr.

As an assistant professor in Urban Development Management at Delft University of Technology, her research focuses on governance and institutional innovation in the transformation of the built environment. She is particularly interested in the spatial and non-spatial interventions that create inclusive public space. Her work explores public space from the perspective of well-being, sport participation and care, social sustainability, behavioural use patterns, participatory and co-design processes, and the influence of contextual and socioeconomic factors on public space.
