Dr. Mohsen Mohammadi holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from the Art University of Isfahan, Iran, and completed a two-year Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship at Delft University of Technology. His primary research interest centers on the notion of ‘affordances’ and its application in architectural design and evaluation. While part of the Focus on Emotion lab, Mohsen will investigate inclusive school environments—both socially and physically—for all youth. Employing an affordance-based approach, his research aims to enhance our understanding of the relationship between the abilities, needs, and capacities of (autistic) youth in the context of their environments, providing new insights to inform inclusive design practices.
