Connecting Research: PhD Student Àngela Belzunegui Pastor Shares Insights on Child Emotional Well-being

The Focus on Emotions research group at Leiden University has recently hosted a research seminar presented by Àngela Belzunegui Pastor, a visiting PhD student from the AITANA Research Group and the Child and Adolescence Research Center at the Miguel Hernández University (Spain).
During her research stay at Leiden University, Àngela presented her PhD project, which focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of the Super Kids program as a universal prevention tool for emotional problems in young children. In addition to the theoretical overview, the meeting fostered an enriching exchange of ideas and experiences among the attendees, highlighting the potential of early emotional prevention programs. During her research stay, Àngela has also been actively collaborating on various studies with the researchers of the Focus on Emotions group, focusing on neurodiversity in educational settings. This experience marks the beginning of what we hope will be a long, fruitful, and exciting collaboration between both research groups in the future.
