Besides hisresponsible task as a Dean of the faculty Electrical Engineering, Mathematics,and Computer Science at the University of Twente, Joost's interests are in data.The main themes Joost focuses on are data science and artificial intelligence,with a strong interest in sensor data. Application areas are currently inHealth, Sports & Movement, Biodiversity and Citizen Science, which includesJoost's involvement in designing new methods for (sensor) data collection andpattern mining related to inclusive school and playground environments.
