Ed Baines’ research expertise is in social interactions and peer relationships in school and research methods. He has undertaken a number of survey, observational and experimental based research studies utilising both quantitative and qualitative methods about school break and lunch times, collaborative learning and grouping practices. His most recent work focuses on how young people’s interactions and relationships in specific school settings contribute to their wellbeing, development and learning. Ed is Associate Professor in Psychology and Education at UCL’s Institute of Education.
