On December 10th, Ricardo Cachucho (right photo, on the left) successfully defended his PhD thesis "Methods and tools for Mining Multivariate Time Series”, supervised by Joost Kok and Arno Knobbe at the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science. Ricardo was the first to develop means for us to study children's movements on the playground, which has allowed us to measure the frequency and duration of children's interactions during play. We now widely apply this innovative method in all of our follow-up studies. During his PhD defense, Ricardo was able to expertly bridge the gap between Computer Science and Psychology.
Parabens Dr. Cachucho!
