Rachel attended the Autism Europe Congress in Nice, France from the 13th – 15th of September. She presented research on expressions of empathy of autistic and non-autistic girls and boys, which suggested that these groups express empathy in different ways.
Rachel’s presentation garnered a lot of interest from fellow researchers, clinicians, autistic people and their relatives attending the conference. She also attended several very thought-provoking and informative talks, providing plenty of inspiration for future research directions. Thanks to Anne Bülow (Tilburg University), Laura Hull (University College London), Felicity Sedgewick (University of Bristol) and Els Blijd-Hoogewys (INTER-PSY, Groningen) for collaborating on this piece of research.
