Our lab will soon welcome another new PhD student from China. Qi Meng has been granted the Chinese Government Scholarship (also known as CSC) under Boya's supervision, which will support her four-year research project at our lab. Her project will focus on the social and emotional development of Chinese children with hearing loss.

At the moment, Qi Meng has already joined our other two PhD students, Yung-Ting and Shannon, testing children with hearing loss in Beijing. In September, she will collect data with typically developing children in a Chinese kindergarten. Both data collections are supported by our Chinese collaborating institutions: China Research Rehabilitation Center for Hearing and Speech Impairment and Capital Normal University of China. Congratulations, Qi Meng.
