September 17th, 2018
On September 8th 2018, Rachel attended the Psychological Society of Ireland’s Early Graduate Group Conference at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Rachel presented her research on the pro-social behaviour and social motivation of adolescent boys and girls with autism.
Many recently graduated Irish psychologists presented their research at this conference, which made for a diverse and interesting day. Rachel also attended a workshop on ‘Planning for Publication and Impact’, facilitated by research psychologist, Dr. Chris Noone, which explored how to best disseminate research findings in academic journals, and beyond. This opportunity arose at the perfect time, as on September first Rachel began her PhD in our lab, examining the social behaviour and psychological wellbeing for girls with autism!
