What makes us happy? How can happiness be facilitated? During five months, students from three different universities (Delft, Leiden, Erasmus) address these questions and work on a design or an idea to enhance collective happiness in the city.
In November, TU Delft started with the third edition of the InnovationLAB ’the Happy City’. This course is part of the Honours Programme and initiated by Robbert Jan van der Veen and Stella Groenewoud. Researchers from different disciplines were invited to give a lecture, thereby inspiring the students to develop creative, new ideas. Evelien represented developmental psychology. She discussed the importance of free play and moral emotions for children’s happiness and well-being. For more information, see www.gelukkigestad.nl (in Dutch).
