SLINeeltje and Shareen recently took part in an expert meeting concerning the psycho-education of children with Specific Language Impairments (SLI). Focus of this type of education is for children to get to know themselves, their strengths and their difficulties. A team of educational psychologists, teachers, therapists and researchers from different organizations in the Netherlands came together to determine the gaps in our current knowledge on psycho-education for this specific group of children and to identify or develop suitable materials. Aim is to develop a toolkit that can easily be applied to teach children with SLI about themselves and how to deal with other people.
