In the first week of September, the BPS (British Psychological Society), Developmental section, had its annual conference in Amsterdam. Carolien presented “Emotions in play”, a research project that involves a cooperation with Guida Veiga (University of Lisbon, Portugal), Brad Bushman (Ohio State University), and the LIACS (Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science). Anouk (photo right) and Lizet also gave presentations at the BPS conference in Amsterdam. Both showed their latest findings from our research projects on deaf and hard of hearing children, which involve a close and longstanding collaboration with the LUMC (Leiden University Medical Centre) and the NSDSK (Dutch Foundation for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Child), Amsterdam. Lizet's presentation involved the young babies for whom we used the eye tracking, in collaboration with the lab of Luca Surian (Trento University, Italy).
