eye trackerWe recently started a new study in collaboration with Professor Luca Surian of Trento University, Italy. Using eye tracking technology, we are examining the development of social cognition (theory of mind and fairness) in deaf and hard-of-hearing infants in comparison to hearing peers. Besides comparing levels of socio-cognitive skills, we also aim to study whether early parent-child interaction is related to social cognition in infancy. We have already tested a number of hearing children and are still in the process of recruiting deaf and hard-of-hearing children.
