The paper "Self-esteem in hearing-impaired children: The influence of educational, communicational, and medical factors" has been accepted for publication and is now in press in open access journal PloS ONE. Main outcome of the study reported in the paper is that children with hearing impairments experience lower self esteem regarding their social position, but not regarding their physical appearance or their general self esteem.
