Playground dynamics is traditionally studied based on parents and teachers’ observations. Carolien and Guida Veiga (University of Évora, Portugal), however, wanted to obtain a more accurate perspective on children’s behaviours.
Their new article focuses on the application of RFID sensors to study child development as this technology enables us to monitor children’s behaviors in their natural settings. The article has just been accepted by SAGE Research Methods Cases and is now in press.
