The paper ‘Approach and avoidant emotion regulation prevent depressive symptoms in children with an AutismSpectrumDisorder’ has been accepted for publication by the International Journal of Developmental Neuroscience. Outcomes of the study indicate that approach and avoidant strategies prevented the development of depressive symptoms in ASD- and typically developing children, whereas elevated levels of worry/rumination increased children’s depressive symptoms.

Marieke participated in this research in the context of her Honors Thesis. Congratulations, Marieke, Carolien, Mark and Lex on this splendid publication!
