Kexin Liu, MSc
Kexin Liu obtained her bachelor degree in Educational technology at Nanjing Formal University of Special Education in China, which focused on teaching students in mainstream and special education schools. In 2021, She obtained her master degree in Inclusive Education at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Being supervised by Carolien Rieffe and Boya Li, in September 2021 she has started her PhD project that explores the social inclusion and school belongingness of autistic students in mainstream schools, which is also a part of the Schoolyard Project.
How can schools be organized to encourage social inclusion and promote respect for diversity and individual differences? On November 16th this was discussed by members of several stakeholder organizations during an expert meeting on “Effect of policy on schoolyard culture and social inclusion” (Effect van beleid op schoolplein-cultuur en sociale inclusie) in the beautiful Hortus Botanicus, Amsterdam.
