Qi Meng, MSc
Qi obtained a Chinese Government Scholarship from China Scholarship Council (CSC) in June 2019, and started in November 2019 as a PhD student under the supervision of Carolien Rieffe and Boya Li. During October 2019, she completed collaboratively the first-wave data collection in China together with Shannon Yuen, Yung-Ting Tsou, and Zijian Li. Her PhD within this larger project will focus on the development of social-emotional functioning in Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing children. She obtained her bachelor degree in Psychology from Liaoning Normal University, Dalian, China, which focused on the teaching of junior high school students. Later, she obtained her master degree in Child Development Psychology from Capital Normal University, Beijing, China, which led to her work as a research assistant at the university kindergarten during that time.
